Our little boy Caleb doesn't need to be told twice when Daddy tells him to go "put on your boots"! He doesn't know where he's going, doesn't know how long it'll take or how much it will cost; All he knows is Daddy asked him to go spend quality time with him and that's all it takes for him to obey. We have heard the same request from our heavenly Father concerning adoption. We are embarking on this adoption adventure with Him not knowing the where and how; All we know is God wants to spend quality time with us and teach us who He is on a deeper level.

We found out a few weeks back that the Ethiopian government changed their laws about adoption. It used to be that upon the receipt of a referal we would plan on traveling to Ethiopia for about a week to bring our little man with us. Simple, easy and quick. Now the new process is that we will be going upon receipt of our referal, stay a week, spend time with our boy and pass court. But then we will have to return to the US empty handed and return one to two months later to get our child. I will need lots of prayer to carry me through this emotional journey. Just thinking about it makes me all weird inside. But I know God will be there with us.
Next month we have arranged to start our home study. I really like the lady we are working with. She's also a believer which will make things so much less stressful.
In the meantime we are still gathering papers here and there for our dossier but are pretty much done.
Keep praying that this journey will be a demonstration of God's great power and glory.

Juste a y penser me met tout a l'envers.
